kinetic-uk wrote

kinetic-uk wrote

Noo idea Confused I've never experienced that. Maybe ask oeae as he is a serious roadie.

kinetic-uk wrote

Are you getting clipless pedals?

kinetic-uk wrote
Feb 24, 2012 at 7:36
Cool. I won't be wearing lycra for a long time, until I know I'm fast as club riders.
Is it the Caad10 you're getting?

kinetic-uk wrote
Feb 23, 2012 at 14:56
Ask your doctor lol

never-stop wrote
Feb 16, 2012 at 13:29
i don't really know anything about that stuff, maybe you pulled a muscle or something?

kinetic-uk wrote

What did he say?

oeae wrote

I've not ridden it yet, but quality and weight are acceptable, definitely at this price. There's some imperfections in the outer layer but that's just superficial. I will give a full review when it is built and ridden a few times

kinetic-uk wrote

I wouldn't know 100% for sure, but I'm guessing it's to do with running one gear on your bike, and also (if it was) cold weather, plus the fact you rode first time this year. Ask Never-Stop as I'm sure the dude would've had the same thing happened as he rides fixed too.

kinetic-uk wrote

Getting a full bike now. Got £400 to spend, so maybe getting a Langster.

kinetic-uk wrote

Bet it wouldn't be that bad if you get to see something like this though http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/6836686 Razz

A race would be awesome, but beware, riders who are in categories will smoke you in a race!

all of them together

never-stop wrote
Jan 27, 2012 at 23:45
i did that a few times, i tried loads of different styles, having your pedals not to narrow, double straps nice and secure (i tape them together on the sides) then some slim shoes and you can get in and out with tight straps quite easily

kinetic-uk wrote
Jan 27, 2012 at 16:23
Not too good. I have a puncture :L and Caad10 will be a bike you will love. Very nice bikes for the money.

never-stop wrote
Jan 27, 2012 at 13:00
i do, i even have double straps on my road bike, with a slim shoe and the straps tight they work fine, which is why i'm not sure its worth the bother

never-stop wrote
Jan 27, 2012 at 12:37
i use my bike for both you see

never-stop wrote
Jan 27, 2012 at 11:21
well its possible, just not easy, the soles have no flex at all, i often need to walk around when i ride to places so it just wouldn't be practical

never-stop wrote
Jan 27, 2012 at 10:40
well long story short, i would either have to swap my pedals around all the time or take a spare pare of shoe's, but i have looked into the mtb spd's, they do have shoe's that you are able to walk in, unlike the road shoe's

never-stop wrote
Jan 26, 2012 at 23:31
i thought a lot about going clipless over the last few days, not sure its worth the bother, i use my bike to much

kinetic-uk wrote
Jan 26, 2012 at 18:56

never-stop wrote
Jan 25, 2012 at 13:26

never-stop wrote
Jan 25, 2012 at 13:06

never-stop wrote
Jan 25, 2012 at 12:44
i got an 80s steel road bike, only cost be 280 pounds so far, my fixed gear will cost more, a lot more

never-stop wrote
Jan 25, 2012 at 8:55
maybe find an older one second hand?

never-stop wrote
Jan 25, 2012 at 8:54
have 2 fixed gears if you want, if you like them, why not! i generally try not to have 2 bikes that are similar, ill end up with 4 well planned bikes when they are sorted, 1 is a brakeless fixed gear the other is a SS/fixed gear commuter with 2 brakes, mudguards n all that practical stuff, then a road bike and mtb...

It's all you'll ever need dude, love Bianchi Pistas, and if you can afford it, go for it!

never-stop wrote

never-stop wrote
Jan 24, 2012 at 18:25
i wouldn't bother buying that, should at least have a bianchi first, Bianchi super pista is very nice,i hope i own one one day

kinetic-uk wrote

no problem, i want to get some miche pristard for my Dolan frame, they have no freewheel threads and no braking surface, pretty Rad.

kinetic-uk wrote
Jan 23, 2012 at 14:01
We have pot holes too! Round my country roads there are quite a lot. One reason why I'd never ride on carbon rims. My council are so retarded they got in debt so have to have 15% of road lights on every street of te town turned off to save money Facepalm

kinetic-uk wrote
Jan 23, 2012 at 13:36
lol U.K has some nice driving roads, like Wales and the Isle of Man, also for riding, we have a lot of countryside.

never-stop wrote
Jan 23, 2012 at 12:00
depends on your price range, they should be a few cheaper ones on ebay, but if you can and want to spend more there is a few, check out Token, miche, Halo, tifosi, mavic, probably a few others, we live in different countrys so the market is different, can't really suggest any thing specific

kinetic-uk wrote
Jan 23, 2012 at 9:20
No idea on that one (not for fixed anyway) I know thier road wheels have deep section.

kinetic-uk wrote
Jan 22, 2012 at 21:39
Great hubs, generally light, awesome quality and strong depending on who builds them for you Smile

kinetic-uk wrote
Jan 22, 2012 at 19:41
They look good but I would have the Mavics over those any time!

kinetic-uk wrote
Jan 22, 2012 at 18:57
Buy them.....Razz

kinetic-uk wrote
Jan 22, 2012 at 14:26
Yep, I'll have two brakes to be precise. I'd have to be suicidal to ride brakeless on a free wheel lol
